Dinner with the Motlands

We kicked off the holiday weekend with dinner at the Motland's on Friday night. I met Jaime in college and this fall we will have known each other for nearly 11 years! She and her husband, Jason, have a little Shitzu-Chihuahua mix named Stella and Stella is one of Colie's besties. They have spent some serious time together as we took Stella for a week over Thanksgiving and two weeks over Christmas last year.

While the two pups played (for four hours, non-stop), the humans enjoyed good conversation, LOTS of laughs, a delicious dinner, a few bottles of vino and some homemade strawberry shortcake. When I say homemade I mean homemade. Jaime baked the scones while we let dinner settle and even whipped up some fresh whipped cream. It was some good eatin'!

Thank you for having us over Motland Family. Next time we'll make you dinner, although I may be buying the dessert...
